All of my life I have been the type of guy that never saw the need to purchase an expensive belt. I always opted for a sub twenty-dollar piece of leather from big box stores. I felt as though these belts served their purpose and were good enough to hold up my pants. This mindset continued when I began to carry a concealed weapon.
When I began carrying around a twenty-eight ounce pistol on my hip, I began to come around to the idea of purchasing a quality belt. The problem that I was experiencing was that, while my inexpensive belt did an acceptable job of holding up my pants, it didn’t do such a good job of holding my pistol securely on my hip.
Even with this problem, I still found myself hesitant on purchasing a gun belt that ranged from $50.00 to $80.00, and in some cases much more. It wasn’t until I was browsing the XD Talk Forums that I found a moderately priced alternative. The item was an Amish Made belt being sold by Hanks Clothing for under $30.00
After reading several glowing reviews on this belt, I decided to place and order and see how it stacked up to what I was using. When my belt arrived I was immediately impressed by how heavy and rigid it was. Measuring at about a quarter inch think and an inch and a half tall, it was much stiffer that my current belt.
When I strapped on the belt, I was impressed. My Crossbreed Supertuck Delux was held firmly in place with no movement as I bent and twisted. After a few weeks of wearing it, I was just as happy as the day I strapped it on. The leather did not stretch or loosen up with daily wear.
In the event that I ever feel as though I need a brown belt to go with my black Amish Made belt, I won’t hesitate to order one from Hanks Clothing. Simply put, I couldn’t have asked for a better belt to suit my needs.

Nice Review, I have been looking for a new gun belt My current belt doesn’t really fit to well anymore and I haven’t ever bought a true gun belt. I may have to look at Hanks I hear their pants are the bomb as well.
Corey,
I don’t own any tactical clothing. Actually, I don’t even know what makes a pair of pants tactical. I’ve heard many people talk about how nice tactical clothing is, so I might need to check it out.
