If there is one thing I’ve learned over 7 years of blogging, it is that comments are very important. Things have become a little stale around here and I needed to come up with a way to bring in some fresh comments. I’m not above bribery, so I thought I’d give something away.
Here is the deal, I’ve got a spare Gerber Ripstop II (specs available here) that I’m willing to give to one lucky commenter. All you have to do is leave a comment, anywhere on the blog, and I’ll enter you into a drawing for the knife. The more comments you make, the more entries you receive. Pretty simple, right?
On February 1st, I’ll randomly select a winner. All I ask is that your comments add to the discussion. Anything spammy will get kicked over to the trash and won’t count for the drawing.

I have a Gerber multi-tool that I like… I might like that knife, too.
When I was in the USMC, I got a Gerber to carry. I still have it, I still carry it. Best knife I ever owned. I’d love to have another.
Cool little marketing trick, hope it works for you. I am trying a new raffle at Hamburg Game Association for a Charter Arms revolver. 200 tickets at a set price drawing at next general meeting after all tickets sell. I hope it doesn’t take too long. Good luck,wWhat is the prize for your increase in comments?
Nothing like a good Bribe! LOL
Reminds me of Zooks and Knives on Stalingrad.
Great looking knife. That is one thing I haven’t picked up yet for my hunting pack. I’m almost geared up for my first hunt.
Awesome looking knife…look’s light weight yet sturdy based on the desinged cutout areas…very nice!!
I would LOVE to win this!

I expect this will be an excellent addition to the pocket.
That is a good looking knife, and the very old one that I carry should be replaced.
Gerber is brand I can trust and the Ripstop knife is one I would love to win so I could have a trusted knife to carry with me on the job.
I like the look of this knife, it looks very sturdy, like that it can clip on your belt, I think it will look good on my belt.
Knife not only looks beautiful, but sturdy as well. Would love to try it out around the homestead and in the field. Thanks for the opportunity.
At this point all I can say is, yes I would love to own this good looking knife.
This would make and every day carry knife for me while I am our in my patrol car. I would be honored to carry one.
I just had a need to use knife this morning, I need to sharpen this, if I had the Gerber Ripstop I could have finished my project, instead of stopping to sharpen my old one.
This is getting hard to tell you why I would like to own this Gerber Ripstop knife. I will just say I would love to own that knife.
You don’t have to only comment here. Any comment, anywhere on the blog, gets you an entry.
The Elite Pluse Compound Bow, have seen these types of bow’s before, they are much different from the old style of bow that I remember when I was young.
2014 Curt Peterson S/E Pa. Indoor 3D Shootout: Great picture of your Daughter, time sure does go fast.
I now that this blog is noy about smoking, but I still enjoy watching you guy’s talking about cigars.
Gerber makes some bad asss knives.
Fantastic site, great reviews, good products.
That’s a cool looking knife.
Hamburg Game Association , the cost to shoot is very reasonable.
Bring a kid outdoors to shoot and you may end up like Walt. Spending time with his daughter at the gun club shooting 3-D, has been enjoyable to watch. If he brings her this year and she is carrying a bow he will save $2 each time.
Hey Walt! Bill here – formerly of the Cigar Snapshot Podcast. After having to hang the mic up on that one for some medical stuff, I started a new show, Media Fiasco. Anyway, I like what you’re doing here, and will be starting a healthy journey soon myself. Keep up the good work! 🙂
Reading Archery Club Good Score!
Walt, you did good, no damage to the Dodge, and you did not have to call “Pop-Pop!
