This past week has been rather stressful. My wonderful wife is getting ready to transition to a full time nursing position and my daughter is getting ready to start Kindergarten. In an effort to maximize summer fun before things get really hectic, the two of them have been crazy busy with activities.
This, of course, leaves Dad scrambling to keep up. While I’m thrilled that they are making the most out of summer, there have been some stressful moments. Stress at home has been amplified by stress and work and I find myself at wits end.
Three months ago, if you had told me that going to the gym would serve as a way to reduce that stress, I would have laughed at you. These days I’m eager to get to the gym and sweat away the stresses of the day. Really, it is amazing how much better I feel after a hard workout.
In this Episode of Slimming Down Dad, I walk you through a typically stressful day and discuss how time in the gym helped curb the urge to tear out my hair.
Before wrapping up the episode I plead for your help in getting the Slimming Down Dad 10K Fun Run off the ground. I’m looking for at least 10 people to participate between October 23rd and October 30th. If you are interested in taking part, shoot me an email at SlimmingDownDad@gmail.com and I’ll add you to the list!
