A few weeks back I came across a video on YouTube from Motovlogger Chip Seal. Chip was enjoying a motorcycle ride in Central Georgia when he stopped to admire a Covered Bridge. Seeing this video reminded me that my little corner of Pennsylvania has a handful of Covered Bridges sprinkled throughout the back country roads.
Inspired to go on my own little adventure, I hopped onto my Honda CB650F and set off to visit the Greisemer’s Mill Covered Bridge in Oley, PA. I don’t know the first thing about Covered Bridges (except that they are amazing feats of engineering that have lasted well over a century) but Wikipedia claims that this particular bridge is a Burr Truss Construction Style that was built in 1832. The bridge spans 124 feet across the Manatawny Creek and it still in use to this day.
I got a little long-winded in my Motovlog but I really enjoyed myself and hope that you enjoy the video.
