Over the course of a normal week, I spent a fair amount of time reading a variety of things across the web. Most of these things are cigar related while others just caught my eye while browsing through my feed reader. I would like to get into the habit of posting a listing of things that jumped out at me over a given week.
I’ve categorized it to help separate content that you may not be interested in reading.
Cigars:
- To Better Inform Cigar Consumers by Walt from The Stogie Review
- Cigar Retrohaling Tutorial Video by Travis Lindsay of The Perfect Draw
Photography:
- OMG! So Insulted! on the Digital Photography School Forums
- Dutch Harbor Cemetery on the Digital Photography School Forums
- Patterned Water Drop Shots on the Digital Photography School Forums
Have you come across something interesting
this week that you would like to share?

Thank you Walt for the link to my retrohaling piece from The Perfect Draw. Doc’s video on retrohaling a cigar perfectly explains why it is so important to exhale smoke through your nose; you really do get a greater appreciation for all the flavors of a cigar when you do that.
On another note, the most interesting thing I saw online this last week ironically came from Digital Photography school, a site I just found but you seem to be more familiar with. It’s the post where Darren Rowse has the 15 long exposure photos. All those pictures are really striking and my favorites are the ones of the lighthouses. Even though I’m no photography buff those were undeniably beautiful shots.
Gosh, just writing a little about cigars has got me into the mood for having another!
