Ever since I started working on My First USPSA Stage, I’ve been hooked on the process. I’m finding it to be lots of fun and allows me to educate myself further as a USPSA Competitor. Releasing these stages, in a somewhat Beta form, has probably been the most fun aspect of the process. Getting shooting plans and stage pointers has been great and I would love to get your input on this stage.
Please feel free to use the comment section down below to discuss the stage. If you would like to take things a step further, please feel free to download the images (click on them to get the full view, then right click > save as) and mark them up (Something as simple as MS Paint will work just fine). Once you have your markings finished, please feel free to email them to me at walt at waltinpa dot com.

Walt am I looking at a stage or plans for an nuke plant:) Great stage , I’d miss about half those targets with FTEs. Sick stages , for maxium pain and anguish you should only use solid walls and not the netted walls:) One shy of maxium round count , way cool:)
Scott,
This stage was sort of inspired by the stage we shot at York, where we had to engage a couple of targets through a gap in a fence. Solid walls / fencing would make this stage much tougher. It might even cause a shooter or two to miss engaging a target altogether.
I think this would be tough but I would enjoy shooting it.
Hi Walt,
Is there any issue with possible shoot throughs from T3 and T4 going down range and hitting the popper’s ST1-ST4? It looks like a direct line of sight and seems possible that you could hit the popper’s while engaging those two papers.

Justin,
There should be no problems with shoot throughts. T3 and T4 are on low target stands, tipped away from the shooter. They can not be seen until you are standing at the barrels, so the shots should pass through the paper and hit the ground.
If you were standing at the intersection of the Y shape, looking towards the barrels (at either end), you wouldn’t be able to see targets T3 & T4 or T5 & T6 as they are lower than the barrels.
AAhhhhhhh, that makes way more sense! I was wondering why those targets looked angled and didn’t realize that they actually are angled back. Whew, thought I was nuts for a moment there… well, I’m nuts, but I meant more than normal. š

Looks like a fun stage. I printed it out and a couple of other for our Outlaw match last Sunday. Unfortunatly, I left the designs at home and couldn’t set them up. Next match though for sure.
